The Latest New Zealand Fashion Label to Know

Best known as the dream team behind the New Zealand brand Ketz-ke, designers Jenny and Brenda have announced their new millennial-focused fashion venture, LEO+BE.

The motivation to create a sister brand to Ketz-ke rose when Brenda and Jenny felt a need for an injection of playfulness to the current millennial fashion focussed offering in New Zealand. 

“We know the young fashion lover in New Zealand to be bold and trend-led, yet we’re also mindful that she is focussed on affordable, versatile fashion. LEO+BE strikes a balance by staying authentic to our Kiwi roots, and presents a collection of ever changing must-haves to the girl seeking mix and match pieces with flair,” says Jenny.

The LEO+BE debut collection channels daydreams and modern adventure into a sweet mix of 30 interchangeable, ready to wear styles for the everyday girl. The first collection showcases a balance between happy-go-lucky street style with an injection of cool, Palm Springs inspired print and colour.

"We felt it was important to work with a campaign model who epitomises the LEO+BE girl," says Jenny. "We chose Cassidy Morris because she is the ultimate kiwi girl-next-door. She’s young, beautiful, and she’s also very aspirational. She represents the career-driven, level headed twenty-something girl who is ready to explore the world and all it has to offer.” 

The aesthetic behind LEO+BE references designers’ Jenny’s star sign and Brenda’s initial, giving the label a personalised touch.
